"Da boblen blev brudt og coronaen blomstrede" Animation, 2021

During the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which

occurred in the winter/fall when there wasn't much else to do,

taking a walk meant everything to me. Getting out of the house,

seeing something different, getting fresh air, and exploring

Copenhagen... I had just moved away from home, so it was a

big deal for me.

At first, it was great. I romanticized those walks, noticed

everything, bought coffee from Lagkagehuset, listened to podcasts,

and picked flowers - wearing oversized jackets and beanies,

the unique "walking fashion" during the lockdown in Copenhagen.

But then the bubble burst. First of all, everyone else wanted to

go out for a walk too, so it was hard to enjoy the trip when you

had to be conscious of keeping a safe distance from others.

Plus, you had to share your "original" ideas about flower-picking

and Lagkagehuset with others aswell.

This animation was made with Photoshop and after effects.

The moldboard should reflect;

An idyllic break from one's zoom-lockdown home in Copenhagen,

as well as birdsong, breeze, human chatter, background noise, coffee

machine sounds, rustling leaves, golden hour / autumn hand-drawn,

idyllic, personal.

The feeling I wanted to capture: It felt like a bubble being burst,

That you had an idyllic break from your zoom-lockdown home, and for

a moment could think about something else, but it quickly turned into

feeling wrong because there were too many other people with the same

idea, and all you saw was the same thing all the time, it

lost its uniqueness. But also, the sense of exploring Copenhagen,

exploring an area (with the same residents), Copenhagen in the autumn,

romanticizing, being a special snowflake, isolating oneself from others...
